Parrots and Poppies

The parrots featured in this painting are called Crimson Rosella, found in Australia and New Zealand. I chose them because I love the way their crimson plumage mirrors the red of the poppies. With this stylized painting I've included lots of gold and hints of art nouveau. The colours are bright and contrasting, with texture and shine.
